Resources

This is a listing of essential infrastructure and services in the area for residents; however these services are outside the realm of township government. This list is meant only for reference.

Utilities
  • TDS Telecom (Landline Phone, Cellular & Internet) (866) 571-6662

  • Garbage Collection

  • Cellular Service: Verizon and AT&T are the most popular providers who have cell coverage in the township. However, due to a highly variable topography, there are dead zones with no service within the township.

  • Michigan: Miss Dig system

    • Michigan’s statewide one-call notification that allows owners and excavators to locate multiple underground utility systems before digging on property.

Schools
  • AuTrain-Onota Public Schools (Preschool – 8th grade)

    • A local, rural school in Deerton, offering education to students up to eighth grade.  The school serves students from both AuTrain and Onota Townships, as well as participating in the Schools of Choice program. Preschool is offered for three and four year old children. Please contact the school for further information.
